Apananka matamata paain bahut dhanyabad. The URL odianari.com is already registered by us. It means that you can now also access our site by typing odianari.com on your browser. But we will start using the word 'Odia' instead of 'Oriya' in all our postings once it's officially accepted by the govt. The bill for changing the name of our language from 'Oriya' to 'Odia' is still pending in the parliament. We are waiting for the day when it becomes official.

However the name of our site: "oriyanari.com" would continue to remain the same since it's already widely known by this name.

Can any one say if the name of Orissa officially changed so far? We may see in the official website of the governor and the chief minister of Orissa that they are still using "Orissa". It means that the new name is still not adopted.

Yes. Now that it is officially implemented, we will also follow it. We would start using the word 'Odia' for 'Oriya' and 'Odisha' for 'Orissa' in all our posts.

But the name of our site will continue to remain as 'Oriya Nari' since it is aleady popularly known by this name. However visitors will be able to view our site by also typing 'odianari.com' on their browser.

Regards,

Oriya Nari Team
